FlyDining Clarifies Misinformation and Announces Safety Enhancements

Correcting False Reports

Due to the unique and visually striking nature of our dining experience, FlyDining has been the subject of sensationalized media coverage, leading to the spread of false and misleading information. We want to clarify the following key facts:

• There were 13 guests onboard at the time of the incident, and none reported any injuries.
• Local authorities, including the police, arrived on-site and confirmed there were no injuries.
• There was no broken nose, no broken cables, and no structural failure.
• The platform carrying guests remained fully secure at all times.
• The roof, which is independent from the guest platform, made brief contact with the crane boom.
• Initial reports incorrectly stated that no guests were on board, and while this mistake was later corrected, misinformation continues to spread.

What Happened

A wind stabilizer rope, which is secured to the ground to provide additional comfort by reducing movement from the wind, became detached. As a result, the roof structure—an independent component separate from the guest platform—made brief contact with the crane boom.

At no point was the platform's stability or guest safety affected, and all safety systems functioned as designed.

Safety & Operational Review

The Fire Department has temporarily paused operations while standard inspections are conducted to confirm that no damage occurred. As part of our proactive approach to guest safety, we are implementing additional safety measures to ensure this does not happen again.

FlyDining will be modifying the height of future rides to eliminate any possibility of roof contact with the crane boom.
